One of the eight unbeaten teams after three league phase matchdays of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) take on one of the 12 winless sides when Tottenham host Copenhagen

Match News and Current Form

Tottenham’s momentum has evaporated after winning just one of their last five games across all competitions (D1, L3), following a rollicking start to 2025/26 during which they also claimed five of a possible nine points in this competition (W1, D2), though their draws away to Bodø/Glimt (2-2) and Monaco (0-0) could be viewed as failures considering they were betting favourites on both occasions. The Europa League champions are now on their longest unbeaten run in all continental football (W6, D3) since the early 2010s and, following their 1-0 win at home to Villarreal on matchday two, are unbeaten in 21 UEFA games on home soil (excluding a Covid-enforced walkover against Rennes) dating back to the start of 2020/21 (W17, D4).

Copenhagen kept pace with the Danish Superliga’s top-three by defeating lowly Fredericia at the weekend, their third consecutive competitive game without defeat (W2, D1) since they lost 4-2 at home to Dortmund on the previous UCL matchday. They’re on a two-game losing streak away to top-flight opposition across all competitions, after winning six of their first nine such matches of the season (D2, L1), so their long-term away form is more encouraging. To get their UCL league phase back on track, Copenhagen will need to secure their inaugural UEFA win away to an English club, having lost seven of their nine attempts so far (D2).

Head-to-Head History

This will be the inaugural H2H. Tottenham’s only meeting with Danish opposition was in 2007 (W 3-2 v Aalborg), whilst Copenhagen’s only two wins from 19 games against English clubs (D5, L12) came against Manchester United in 2006 and 2023.
