Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia & Texas Tech named top seeds for the College Football Playoffs

The bracket for the upcoming College Football Playoffs has been revealed, with Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia and Texas Tech being named the top seeds in the 12-team field.

As a result of that, those four colleges will automatically advance to the final eight, where they'll be joined by the winners of the four first-round matches.

In those matches, Oregon (5) will host James Madison (12), Ole Miss (6) will host Tulane (11), Texas A&M (7) will host Miami (10) and Oklahoma (8) will host Alabama (9).

The clash between Oklahoma and Alabama will be played on December 19th, while the other three will take place on December 20th.

Notre Dame were left out in favour of Miami, whose victory over them was given as the reason for such a decision.

BYU also just missed out after suffering a 34-7 loss to Texas Tech, who claimed their first Big 12 Conference title in the process.

The quarter-finals will be played on December 31st and January 1st before the semi-finals take place on January 8th and 9th,

The final will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on January 19th.
