Smith left during the third quarter of Sunday's game with an apparent knee injury that is now diagnosed as 'structurally okay'. At that point in the game, Smith completed 15 of 19 passes for 149 yards and an interception.
"It was severe enough for him not to come back in the game. We'll do all the tests tomorrow and kind of figure it out as we go. But right now, structurally it looks like it's OK, but we've got to get it imaged and all that stuff," said Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald after the game.
Unfortunately, backup Sam Howell came in for Smith and didn't do much to help the Seahawks to a win, completing just five of 14 passes for 24 yards and an interception.
Seattle ended up losing to Green Bay by a score of 30-13.
Smith is third in the league in passing yards (3,623) and sixth in completion percentage (69.9).
The Seahawks now sit at a thought 8-6 record with three games left in a tight NFC playoff race. They'll be hosting the Minnesota Vikings next week before going on the road to face the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams to wrap up the season.
