Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp signed a three-year deal worth $45 million with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, according to multiple NFL insiders.

The 31-year-old Washington native will now be heading home to a Seahawks offence that now has a completely different look from last season.

Seattle recently traded star receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers, released wide receiver Tyler Lockett to free agency, traded quarterback Geno Smith Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders, and signed quarterback Sam Darnold as his replacement with a $100.5 million contract.

Kupp is coming off back-to-back sub-800 receiving yard seasons for the Rams. The veteran hasn't surpassed 1,000 yards since his MVP-like season in 2021, the only year in which he started a full season.

The former Super Bowl LVI MVP will now be lining up on the opposite side of young standout Jaxon Smith-Njigba as Darnold's new target, who also posted his reaction to the signing.

Kupp spent all eight years of his career for the Rams after taking him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, eventually becoming a fan favourite for fanbases across the league.
