While Line Christophersen is ranked 23rd in the world, Yeo Jia Min is ranked 38th, and the difference was visible in Thursday's match.
In the first set, Min managed to hang on to 17-17 when Christophersen was able to keep cool during the decisive moments and secure the last four points to win the opening set.
At the start of the second set, Yeo Jia Min hung on until 6-6, but from then on, Christophersen upped the pace and had things solidly under control.
This led to a solid Danish lead of 20-7 and thus 13 match points.
Despite a bit of nervousness in the final phase and four missed match points, Line Christophersen managed to claim the win before things got too tense.
