The Atlanta Braves signed outfielder Jurickson Profar (31) to a three-year, $42 million deal on Thursday, according to the team.

The All-Star outfielder who just won his first Silver Slugger will be joining an Atlanta Braves team that finished six games out of first in the NL East this past season.

Profar is coming off of a season where he put up the best numbers of his career. He slashed .280/.380/.459/.839 last year while hitting 24 home runs, 85 RBI, and 158 hits - all career highs. His 10 stolen bases also tied a career-high.

The Curacao native made headlines around the league after interacting with Dodgers fanatics after robbing a home run during the National League Divisional round of the 2024 MLB Playoffs, instantly becoming a favourite among Padres fans.

Profar is coming off a one-year, $1 million deal that he signed with San Diego ahead of the 2024 season. Now, the lovable vet can finally cash in on the biggest check of his life.

He will be making more money over the next three years with the Braves than he did the previous 11 years combined with the Texas Rangers, Athletics, Colorado Rockies, and Padres - a total of just over $35.2 million.
