"I don't see any reason why I won't be ready for Opening Day," said Yelich.
Yelich even questioned the initial report about him being questionable for the start of the upcoming season.
"I saw before I came out here that I might be a question mark for Opening Day, and I'm not sure where that came from. Unless something crazy happens here, I don't see why I wouldn't be ready."
Yelich dealt with back inflammation in July last season that ultimately ended his year after undergoing season-ending surgery in August.
The three-time All-Star ended up finishing last season with a stellar .315/.406/.504/.909 slash line with 11 home runs and 42 RBI to go with it.
Yelich is set to earn $22 million per year over the next four seasons before reaching a mutual option in 2029 when the former National League MVP will be 39 years old.
