Miami Marlins young star Kyle Stowers (27) hit a walk-off home run Friday against the Kansas City Royals in the team's first game back from the All-Star Break.

Stowers' walk-off home run in extra innings was his second homer of the game, finishing 3-5 with a single, 5 RBI, two runs, and two strikeouts.

He now has five total in the past two games with a total of eight hits, bringing his season total up to 21 home runs and 59 RBI with a .298/.371/.563 slashline.

Stowers made his first All-Star appearance this past week, even partaking in the first-ever swing-off. He hit one home run in three attempts that helped lift the National League All-Stars to their second win in three years over the American League All-Stars.

Miami improves to 45-51 on the year and currently sit in third place in the National League East division behind the Philadelphia Phillies (55-42) and New York Mets (55-43).

The win puts the Marlins at 7.5 games back of a Wild Card Spot.
