Pelicans' forward Zion Williamson (24) is set to return to practice next week after starting physical conditioning to rehab his lingering hamstring injury.
Williamson hasn't seen the court for the Pelicans since November 6th. In just six games this year, Williamson averaged 22.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 8.0 rebounds.
The former number-one overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft tore his meniscus during his rookie year and has been plagued by injuries and physical conditioning concerns.
Williamson has only played in 190 games throughout his six-year career, having yet to play a full season. The two-time All-Star is averaging 24.6 points per game for his career on 58.7 percent shooting.
