Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry (36) drilled a halfcourt shot, technically three-quarters, right at the halftime buzzer en route to a 56-point performance during Thursday night's win against the Orlando Magic.

Curry's now seven half-court shots are the most in NBA history.

Despite being down 66-52 at the half, Curry led the Warriors with 24 points (6-9 from three-point range) heading into the locker room.

Curry came back in the second half in prime form.

He went on to put up 56 total points on 12 of 19 three-pointers in the team's fifth straight win.

The future Hall of Famer is averaging 23.3 points and 6.1 assists per game this season for a Warriors team ranked eighth in the Western Conference with a 31-27 record.

Their four-game winning streak is currently in jeopardy as the 29-31 Magic look to bounce back from their recent 122-82 loss to the Eastern Conference's best Cleveland Cavaliers
