The Chicago Blackhawks revealed on Friday that their iconic black alternate uniforms will be making a comeback this season for seven games.

They will debut the alternates on Friday, November 28th, against the Nashville Predators.

Other games the team has scheduled their black alternates for this season include:

November 30th vs Anaheim Ducks

January 9th vs. Washington Capitals

January 23rd vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

January 30th vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

March 14th vs. Vegas Golden Knights

March 20th vs. Colorado Avalanche

The Blackhawks, currently in their 100th season as a franchise, are 10-7-4 on the year.

They're coming off a 9-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Friday evening.

Young star Connor Bedard recorded his 100th assist to teammate Tyler Bertuzzi, who played in his 100th game with the Blackhawks.

“The long-awaited black alternate jersey returns this season as we celebrate 100 years of Blackhawks hockey, giving a nod to some of the greatest players to ever wear the sweater,” said Blackhawks Chairman and CEO Danny Wirtz. “Originally worn by Tony Amonte, Chris Chelios, Eric Daze, and Denis Savard in the 1990s-2000s, these jerseys defined an era and became a symbol of the grit, strength, commitment, and legacy that still holds true to today’s era of Blackhawks hockey.”

“We’re not just revisiting our past. We’re reactivating one of hockey’s most striking visual statements. Our fans were part of making it an icon under the United Center lights. They’ve been asking for this moment, and we couldn’t wait to give this back to them as the next generation takes the ice,” added Jaime Faulkner, President of Business Operations.
