February's football is starting with a bang this weekend with some huge matches, including a number of iconic derbies taking place across Europe.

Sunday, February 2nd

23:05 CET - Last but not least for this weekend, Oihan Sancet's second-half goal helped Athletic Bilbao rescue a point away to Real Betis with their match ending 2-2.

22:40 CET - It looked like Leonardo Spinazzola’s first-half goal would be the difference in the Derby del Sole but Angelino popped up to score a late leveller for Roma against Napoli and it ended 1-1 in the Italian capital.

The dropped points could be crucial for Antonio Conte’s side - they lead second-placed Inter by just three points now but have played a game more.

22:36 CET - A thrilling Derby des Olympiques lit up in the second half with both Marseille and Lyon scoring twice but it was OM who found the winner through Luis Henrique to edge it 3-2!

Marseille remain 10 points off leaders PSG in Ligue 1 after the win but have a three-point cushion over Monaco in third. OL, meanwhile, are stuck outside the top six.

21:35 CET - At half-time, it's goalless between Marseille and Lyon in Ligue 1 while in the Italian capital, Napoli lead their hosts 1-0 thanks to a goal from former Roma man Leonardo Spinazzola.

20:30 CET - We have two tantalising late games to enjoy this evening. In Serie A, Roma are hosting league leaders Napoli in the Derby del Sole. Over in Ligue 1, Marseille and Lyon are meeting in the Derby des Olympiques.

Neither of these ties are derbies in the traditional sense of the teams being from the same urban area however, they are always spicy clashes.

20:25 CET - Moving over to Spain where Osasuna have beaten their Basque rivals Real Sociedad 2-1 to leapfrog them up into seventh in LaLiga.

La Real are now languishing down in 10th now in what is turning into a very disappointing season for the San Sebastian outfit.

20:03 CET - The third Milan derby of the season ends level with AC Milan and Inter drawing 1-1. The hosts probably would have taken a draw before kick-off but it would hurt to lose the win in that manner.

20:01 CET - Inter equalise at the death! Stefan de Vrij has scored in the 93rd minute to make it 1-1 in Milan! That could be a huge goal in the title race.

19:19 CET - Ethan Nwaneri makes it five! A lovely left-footed finish into the far corner from outside the box put the icing on the cake in a match that has now finished 5-1.

What a night for Mikel Arteta's men!

19:10 CET - Manchester City's season is going from bad to worse tonight. This is the fourth time City have conceded 4+ goals in all competitions this season, the most ever in a campaign by a Pep Guardiola-managed team.

19:04 CET - It's four! Kai Havertz has finished off a lovely counter-attack to wrap up a huge victory for Arsenal! This is a real statement from the hosts.

18:51 CET - 3-1! 18-year-old wonderkid Myles Lewis-Skelly had doubled his side's lead in North London with a lovely finish!

In Milan meanwhile, AC Milan head into the break 1-0 thanks to a goal from Tijjani Reijnders at the end of what was a cagey half.

18:42 CET - Two minutes of madness! Erling Haaland briefly drew Manchester City level with a header but Arsenal then regained the lead almost immediately through a deflected long-range effort from Thomas Partey!

18:18 CET - It's the halfway point at the Emirates and things are going well for Arsenal, who have generally looked comfortable since taking their early lead.
