Berlin thus remained in first place in Group A, without losing a point after five games and two points behind Aalborg and Veszprém. Kolstad have not had a good start to the Champions League season so far, with just one win from four games and a seventh place in Group A to show for it.
To the match centre: Füchse Berlin vs. Kolstad HB
Foxes pull away in the first half.
Foxes coach Nicolej Krickau had already set the tone before the game: "We're in a great starting position after winning four games. It should be two points against Kolstad, but it certainly won't be easy. If Kolstad proved hard to break down during the game, then we'll have to put the pressure on," predicted Krickau.
However, the Foxes actually managed to pull away in the first half and opened a comfortable gap of 12-7 after 20 minutes.
The Norwegians did not give up, but were also unable to find a way to restrict the attacking power of the Foxes. The capital club's goalkeepers also defused far more shots than their Norwegian opponents. The result was a completely unchallenged victory.
