After luckily winning their home matches against Zagreb and Eurofarm Pelister, Paris Saint-Germain were defeated in their own arena for the first time this season against the unsung Danish outfit and remain on only four points after six rounds.
Thanks to the result on Thursday night, GOG moved past them in the table and are now on six points.
In the whole 60 minutes, the Danish side were never behind, and they created the platform for an unlikely win when they, from 7-6, pulled away to lead 19-11, as mainly centre back Óli Mittún and wing Frederik Bjerre (eight goals) scored on almost every goal attempt.
Paris were clearly visibly deflated but led by Elohim Prandi, launched a comeback that, however, proved too late in the end. Through the last 15 minutes of the game, GOG kept the distance to at least five goals until the very last minute, to record their third win in the competition.
