PSG got their revenge over GOG when the Frenchmen won 31-28 away against the Danish outfit in the Champions League.

PSG, who is coached by Stefan Madsen and Henrik Moellgaard, have struggled to produce results in the Champions League and have lost four of their first seven games in the prestigious tournament.

But with their third win in the tournament, PSG climbed past GOG into fifth place in the table with six points. GOG is also listed with six points in sixth place.

GOG won by two goals in Paris, so Wednesday's French victory by three goals means that PSG is superior in the head-to-head record between the two teams.

It was a very even match in Svendborg for a long time, and the Danish attack was sparkling at times.

GOG got off to the best start and took the lead with a couple of goals several times. But PSG got back into the match and restored parity at 6-6 and then built a two-goal gap.

However, the Parisians had difficulty pulling away decisively. Instead, GOG's well-playing Frederik Bjerre managed to give the Danes an 18-17 lead at half-time.

In the second half, GOG was only ahead once at 19-18. From then on, PSG seized the initiative and did not let go of the small advantage that the visitors gained in the match.

Towards the end, GOG reduced the deficit several times and was only behind by a single goal, but the home side never managed to bring the game back on level terms.

In the PSG goal, Mikkel Lovkvist had an excellent game and prevented a Danish comeback.

PSG has won all nine of the team's matches in the domestic league and tops the French table.
