The Los Angeles Kings re-signed forward Alex Laferriere to a three-year, $12.3 million contract on Friday.

Laferriere's new deal has a $4.1 million annual average value through the 2027-2028 season. He will become a restricted free agent once again at the end of his contract.

The 23-year-old former third-round pick of the 2020 NHL Draft put up 19 goals and 23 assists last season for the Kings, almost doubling his points total (23) from 2023 and doubling his game-winning goals from two to four.

Laferriere had a drastic leap in all-around play this past season, going from a -14 (+/-) with 46 penalty minutes in 2023 to a +22 (+/-) with just 20 penalty minutes in over three more minutes of average ice time.
