After going up 14-0 in the first half, Miami held off an Ohio State team that battled back as they now await the winner between No. 6 seed Ole Miss and No. 3 Georgia.
Miami running back CharMar Brown ran in the final touchdown of the game as the Hurricanes took down the defending champions.

First half
It was all Miami in the first half as their defensive unit proved to be a problem for Ohio State.
They would enter the second half of the game with three sacks off nine quarterback pressures alone, including five tackles for a loss.
The Hurricanes got on the board first with a Carson Beck passing touchdown to running back Mark Fletcher Jr. off, capping off a 13-play, 83-yard drive that took a whole 8:04 off the clock.
On the following Ohio State drive, it wouldn't take long for Miami to tack on to their lead.

It officially became the largest deficit Ohio State had faced all season.
The Buckeyes had a couple of chances in the first half, with a fumble on Miami's second drive of the game and then again right before the half with a 49-yard field goal that missed.
Ohio State finished the first half with no points and -3 rushing yards - their fewest in a half in 20 years - but put up 157 passing yards to Miami's 98.
Second half
But Ohio State fought back almost immediately during their first drive of the second half, going 82 yards on 11 plays for their first touchdown of the game with a one yard rush from running back Bo Jackson.
Miami's Carter Davis would drill a 49-yard field of his own on the following drive, giving Miami a 17-7 lead.
The entire third quarter saw only two drives, with one from each team.
Ohio State kept right on Miami's tail entering the fourth quarter, as they would drive 75 yards on 10 plays the following drive another touchdown, this time a 14-yard touchdown pass from Saying to wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
But Miami would hold off in the end with the touchdown from Brown and an interception from Jakobe Thomas.
Ohio State finished with 322 yards to Miami's 291. The Hurricanes held the Buckeyes to only 45 rushing yards, while also recording eight tackles for loss, five sacks, and two turnovers.
