Hendrickon's deal has a max value of $120 million, with incentives that can boost his $60 million in the first two years to $64 million. One of those incentives is a $500,000 bonus for putting up eight, 10, 12, or 14 sacks per season.
Baltimore brings in another elite pass rusher after the previous blockbuster deal with Maxx Crosby fell through (details here). Quarterback Lamar Jackson had his current deal restructured, which opened up around $40 million in cap space, allowing this deal with Hendrickson to be done.
Hendrickson, 31, is coming off a seven-game season after receiving core muscle surgery to fix a hip/pelvis injury. He put up four sacks and one forced fumble in those seven games with 16 tackles and eight quarterback hits.
The veteran led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024, earning First-Team All-Pro honors and runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year, after putting up the same amount the year before in 2023. Hendrickson spent the past five seasons with the Bengals and was elected to the Pro Bowl in each of those seasons up until last year.
Now, the elite pass rusher gives the Ravens what they need while also retaining their two first-round picks that they originally sent in the Crosby deal.
