According to Foot Mercato, OM and Roma are to seal a deal in the form of a loan with an option to buy for Robinio Vaz, who will sign a four-and-a-half season contract.

A favourite of Roberto de Zerbi's before slipping down the pecking order, Robinio Vaz is set to leave Olympique de Marseille.

The Mantes-la-Jolie native, who joined from Sochaux in January 2024, was in talks over a pay rise (OM offered him around €70,000 gross per month).

This season, he has scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 14 Ligue 1 appearances (three starts, the last of which came on 1 November against Auxerre). His last game came against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League on 9 December, when he came on as an 88th-minute substitute.

According to Foot Mercato, the striker, who turns 19 in a month's time, will be leaving for Italy. Roma will pay €25m including bonuses. The deal would be a 6-month loan with a compulsory purchase option. The contract is expected to last 4 and a half years.

Initially interested in Joshua Zirkzee (Manchester United) and Giacomo Raspadori (Atlético), the Giallorossi will allow OM to make an exceptional switch, as Vaz was recruited for... €200,000 two years ago.
