A Silver Slugger Award is given to a player at each respective position (excluding pitcher) and three outfielders, including a specific team, who put on the best hitting performance of the season.
Silver Slugger Awards for the American League will be announced on November 7th.
The Arizona Diamondbacks led the way as a team with three individual Silver Sluggers, with the New York Mets after them with two.
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani has now won the award in back-to-back years (now four in total), while Juan Soto is just one of two players to win three consecutive Silver Sluggers with three different teams - the other being Mike Hampton (1999-2001).
