2.63 million EUR may be peanuts to football's superpowers, but that figure has just become the record fee paid by a club in Sweden's Allsvenskan, after Hammarby signed Victor Lind from Brommapojkarna.

The 22-year-old Danish winger has signed a three-year deal with Hammarby after just a season with Brommapojkarna, for whom he scored 10 times and registered four assists in the 2025 Allsvenskan after moving from FC Midtjylland.

By moving Lind across Stockholm, Hammarby have set a new record fee paid by a Swedish club, which equates to 28 million SEK in the local currency. It is therefore also the biggest deal ever between two Swedish clubs.

The fee for the under-21 international eclipses the 26 million SEK that IFK Norrkoping paid West Ham United for Sead Haksabanovic in 2020.

Those transfers are dwarfed by the record fees paid to Allsvenskan clubs in the market, the top two of which both involve Hammarby, who sold Bazoumana Toure to Hoffenheim for 160 million SEK (approx. 15 million EUR) last year and Adrian Lahdo to Como for 126 million SEK at the beginning of this month.

"Since I came to Sweden, I have always had a good feeling for Bajen," Lind said upon completing the move. "Experiencing the supporters and the style of play that the club stands for will suit me perfectly."

It remains to be seen if Lind will feature away at Orebro in Svenska Cupen on Monday, while he is set to make his first Allsvenskan appearance for last season's runner-up Hammarby at home to champions Mjallby on 4th April.
