Both The Unity and Desperados, who are the leading fan groups in Dortmund, have chosen to stay away from the Champions League fixture against FC Copenhagen in Parken Stadium on 21 October due to what they see as unreasonable demands.

In a press release, The Unity and Desperados, the two major fan groups in Dortmund, have explained that they will not be in the stands for the Champions League match against FC Copenhagen.

The Unity is thus repeating a boycott which they also enforced in 2022 when the two clubs faced each other in the European club competitions.

Back then, the fans decided to boycott the match because all tickets were made personal, which triggered the need to show identification.

The same procedure will happen this time in Copenhagen, and that will make the two fan groups stay at home.

"As with the last meeting in November 2022, this match will unfortunately be under restrictions that include personalization of tickets and a deviation from the club's own ticket allocation for international away matches. "

"With that in mind, we have decided not to participate in the match on 21 October", say the fan groups in the press release.

The Unity is considered the leading Ultras group in the Borussia Dortmund fans' segment, and it is widely known that they are friends with the Ultras from Brondby IF, the main rivals of FC Copenhagen.
