PSV have hit a massive bump in the road after losing two consecutive potential championship deciders. With their lead now down to 15 points, how early could PSV win the title? Flashscore finds it out.

PSV could've had the chance to seal the Eredivisie title early in round 28, but were denied this chance by Feyenoord, who grabbed a point from the Klassieker against Ajax. A shocking 3-1 away loss at Telstar only added to PSV's wounds.

Sunday's loss cut PSV's lead back to 15 points, making the Eredivisie table look as follows:

Feyenoord drew, Ajax drew, NEC drew... PSV could've given themselves a great chance to win it on April 4th. Could they still? Are PSV still on for a record title win?

On pace for all records

If PSV hold on to their 15-point lead, the earliest they could win the Eredivisie title will be on Saturday, April 4th, against FC Utrecht in round 29. PSV need one of the following scenarios to be able to win the title this weekend.

PSV win: Feyenoord need to draw or lose

PSV draw: Feyenoord need to lose

PSV's 15-point lead would naturally stay intact if Feyenoord match PSV's result. PSV's goal difference of +41 outdoes Feyenoord's by 20 goals, making a 15-point lead after Sunday a nigh-on impossible gap to bridge.

Winning the title this Sunday would set a new Eredivisie record for the earliest title win, breaking PSV's own record set on April 8th, 1978, when the club won their seventh championship.

By rounds, AZ hold the record for the most rounds won, having won the title in round 28 of the 1980/81 season. PSV cannot break that record anymore.

Competition

Based on current form, PSV have lost their groove over the past couple of weeks. The league leaders won 6 of their last 10 league games, but lost the last two, scoring 21 goals and conceding 15 along the way. PSV are now on 68 points

Feyenoord are still in second place after winning two of their last five Eredivisie matches, maintaining a 5-point lead over the chasing pack.

PSV's remaining schedule is still speaking in their favour. PSV have played (and beaten) Feyenoord twice already, while the away game at Ajax - their toughest remaining matchup - will be played in round 31.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord are yet to play NEC in Nijmegen (April 12th).
