Only one side claimed victory in the UEFA Europa League quarter-final first legs, as the intrigue intensifies heading into the return leg. Here is one stat for each of the eight clubs after Thursday's fascinating matchups.

Bodo/Glimt 2-0 Lazio

4 - It was shock and awe in the Arctic Circle as Bodo/Glimt stunned the league phase winners Lazio 2-0. The Norwegians are now 90 minutes away from a maiden continental semi-final.

It seems like they love to host Italian clubs in Europe - Bodo have won their last four home games versus Serie A opposition. The only club to beat them there was Sampdoria in the 1978/79 UEFA Cup Winners Cup.

2 - It was a disappointing trip to Norway for Lazio, who never truly got going in the match. In fact, they can be thankful that they are only down 2-0 going into next week's decider.

The Biancocelesti have had a fine European campaign before the loss. For perspective, Thursday was the first time that Lazio have conceded two or more goals in a continental match this season. It's the first time this season that Lazio have conceded multiple goals in Europe.

Rangers 0-0 Athletic Club

3 - Despite going down to 10 men in the 13th minute, Rangers showed some serious resolve, keeping out Athletic Club. The Scottish club will certainly be the happier of the two given the circumstances.

The Gers have shown been a strong force at home in Europe for some time now, but particularly for LaLiga clubs. It is now now three consecutive clean sheets at Ibrox versus Spanish opposition for Rangers since a 1-1 draw against Valencia in the Champions League group stage back in 2010.

20 - Athletic Club had the majority of the ball and created more than enough chances to find the back of the net. However, the Basque club will return home without victory. Seeing that this year's Europa League final is at San Mames - where Bilbao play their matches - they are desperate to make it there.

As for the first leg, it was the first time in 20 matches that Athletic Club have been involved in a goalless game in European action. The previous occasion came in 2017 against Hertha Berlin to open up the UEL group stage.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

19 - Tottenham played to a 1-1 draw at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, giving them a realistic shot at a first Europa League semi-final in the competition's current guise.

Spurs have not been defeated at home in Europe in 19 matches now. This excludes a forfeit defeat they were handed in the UEFA Conference League almost three and a half years ago. RB Leipzig were the last team to do so in the Champions League five years ago.

10 - Eintracht Frankfurt also know a thing or two about unbeaten runs, particularly in the Europa League. Playing in the competition for the first time since winning it in 2021/22, Die Adler have enjoyed another solid run.

Looking to make the semi-finals for the third time in their last four appearances, Frankfurt have not lost a UEL knockout round game in their last 10 outings (6-4-0). Funny enough, all four of those stalemates were a 1-1 scoreline.

Olympique Lyon 2-2 Manchester United

5 - It was a dramatic end to Olympique Lyon's match at home to Manchester United. Rayan Cherki's equaliser with the last kick of the game sets up a fascinating return leg in Manchester next week.

Still, Lyon remain winless in five all-time head-to-heads against United, with Thursday's result being their third stalemate against the Red Devils. All three of the draws have come in France.

11 - Manchester United are relying on the Europa League to save their horrific season domestically. Despite failing to hold onto their lead late on, the 2016/17 winners are still in a solid position to make a first continental semi-final in four years.

United are now undefeated across 11 UEL fixtures this season. The last time they achieved this was when they lifted the tournament's trophy back in 2016/17.
