Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has fired back on social media after disrespect was shown towards Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.

Liverpool fan platform Anfield Edition, which has over 500,000 followers on X, praised the club’s summer transfer business, which broke records over the past few months with the signings of the likes of Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz

The post stated "name a bigger upgrade in footballing history" as it compared Nunez to Isak and Wirtz to Diaz, suggesting that the two new signings are much better despite Nunez and Diaz helping the Reds to much success, including a Premier League title.

Salah quickly responded to the post in what is a rare interaction from the winger who was keen to back up his former teammates who both left for Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

"How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?"

Nunez made 30 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring five times and providing three assists, whilst Diaz scored 17 goals in all competitions to help Liverpool to the Premier League title and the EFL Cup final.

The Reds have made the perfect start to the new season, with the club being the only side to have won all three matches.

Liverpool splashed out a whopping £446 million this summer but despite their vast improvements, it is clear that Salah will not accept the disrespect to his former teammates who brought about so much success despite their countless critics.
