The Juventus hierarchy are staring down one of their biggest challenges - keeping hold of Gleison Bremer.

The 28-year-old has risen into one of Serie A’s most commanding defenders, a presence that marries dominance with calm control… and his value is peaking.

Fit again this season and carefully managing minutes after working his way back to the pitch, he has played his way back into form - just in time for the whispers about his future to grow louder.

Bremer is tied to Juve until 2029 and sits among the club’s top earners, but there is unease in Turin about how long that contract will truly protect them.

A release clause believed to be set at €60m makes him accessible to Premier League clubs, and insiders are braced for a scramble once the next transfer windows come into view.

The Old Lady built their resurgence around him. He has been a key figure so far, but is to be rested in the Champions League this week to protect his ongoing conditioning. He is seen as irreplaceable in the short term.

Yet privately there is acknowledgement that 2026 could become a flashpoint year - and that holding firm when England’s heavyweights come calling may prove impossible.

Chelsea sources admit a deal cannot be dismissed, given the affordability of his clause at a time when they need new stability at the back.

Manchester United have repeatedly scouted him and are expected to prioritise a new centre-back in the summer.

Liverpool also retain interest and want a defensive addition, though their primary focus remains Marc Guehi after a failed deadline-day bid.

For Juventus, the problem is clear in that Bremer has become too good, too reliable, and too tempting for the Premier League elite to ignore.

They want him to be the bedrock of their return to the top of Italian football, but the sense is growing that his future may not be theirs to control.

The battle lines are drawn - and if Bremer’s form continues to surge, so too will the speculation.
