Ticket-fraud is reaching massive proportions before the Nations League fixture in Parken stadium between Denmark and Portugal.

It may be the last time that football fans get the chance to see the 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo perform on Danish soil and many Danes are going to great lengths to secure a ticket for the match.

However, the massive demand for tickets also creates a potentially lucrative environment for ticket fraud and the Danish FA is being contacted by lots of people who have fallen victims of fraud.

"We know how frustrating it is to end up being cheated, and we have a lot of understanding for the fans who fall victim to fraud. Our ticket team not only offers information and guidance, but is also ready to help provide information to report cases to the police and ensure that no one feels alone in the fight against ticket fraud", says Erik Brøgger, CEO of the Danish FA to TV2 Sport.

Its especially on social media that lots of false tickets are advertised at favorable prices which attracts many football fans. Often people are victims of fake/non-existent tickets being sold several times.

The Facebook group Danes Away, which is a forum for Danish football fans with around 38,000 members have received inquiries to a much greater extent than before from people who have either been cheated or suspect that they have been cheated by people wishing to sell tickets in other Facebook groups.
