We've reached the quarter-final stage at the Australian Open, with Aryna Sabalenka, Carlos Alcaraz and Coco Gauff all involved on a blockbuster Tuesday in Melbourne.

10:05 CET - Wow, Elina Svitolina has utterly thrashed Coco Gauff 6-1, 6-2 to move into the Australian Open semi-finals!

The Ukrainian absolutely destroyed the third-seeded American in just 59 minutes to set up a final-four clash with world number one Aryna Sabalenka, who also won comfortably earlier in the day.

Just as impressive as that was from the red-hot Svitolina, that was an absolutely shocking performance from Gauff, who crashes out of Melbourne spectacularly. Check out the key match stats below:

09:38 CET - Elina Svitolina has taken a one-sided opening set on Rod Laver Arena, with the Ukrainian punishing an error-strewn start from Coco Gauff to win it 6-1 in just 29 minutes.

07:48 CET - Last year's runner-up Alexander Zverev has sealed his spot in the semi-finals after an impressive 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-1, 7-6(3) triumph over rising star Learner Tien.

The German, who continues to chase an elusive Grand Slam title, will face either top seed Carlos Alcaraz or home hope Alex de Minaur in the last four.

05:55 CET - Alexander Zverev found another gear in that third set, breaking Learner Tien twice en route to taking a two sets to one lead. The German won the third set 6-1, winning 88% of his first serve points. He is one set away from another semi-final appearance.

05:30 CET - Learner Tien does not give up, and wins the second set in a tiebreak against Alexander Zverev 7-6 (5). Neither player was broken in what has been a high quality match so far. The American was behind in the tiebreaker, but won the last four points make it one set apiece.

The top ranked player was never broken in the match, hitting 30 winners to just 17 unforced errors. She faces the winner of the other match today between Coco Gauff and Elina Svitolina.

Play gets started in a couple of hours at 01:30 CET, with women's top seed Aryna Sabalenka facing American sensation Iva Jovic on the Rod Laver Arena.

Following that clash, former finalist and men's third seed Alexander Zverev takes on rising star Learner Tien, who comfortably dispatched Daniil Medvedev in the previous round.
