The 22-year-old Dane advanced to her first career WTA-1000 quarterfinal after dominating Sabalenka throughout the match which lasted 1 hour and 23 minutes.

Tauson consequently got her revenge over Sabalenka after she lost 7-6, 6-4 aginst the Belarussian in the third round of the Australian Open.
