Botic van de Zandschulp will not feature at the Libema Open tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, after withdrawing due to injury.

The organisation announced Van de Zandschulp's withdrawal shortly before his first-round tie against Italy's Mattia Bellucci, who returned to the Netherlands four months after his successful ABN AMRO Open campaign in Rotterdam.

Van de Zandschulp is the second Dutch player to withdraw from the tournament after Tallon Griekspoor did the same due to the abdominal injury he sustained before his fourth-round match against Alexander Zverev at the French Open.

No Mees Rottgering

Mees Rottgering, the 17-year-old Dutch player who debuted on the ATP Tour in Rotterdam earlier this year, failed to qualify for the Libema Open in 's-Hertogenbosch after losing in three sets to Daniel Evans: 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-2.

Rottgering impressed in front of the home crowd with seven aces, but he failed to pounce on six of seven earned break points, and Evans ran away with the win after the Englishman broke his first two service games in the third set.

16-year-old Thijs Boogard, who made it to the finals of the qualifying tournament after beating Australian James McCabe, also failed to reach the main draw after losing in straight sets to American MacKenzie McDonald: 7-6 (4), 6-1.

Jesper de Jong, the only remaining Dutch player in the men's tournament, will open the tournament against a qualifier or lucky loser.
