The action continues to motor on in Beijing, with semi-final action on the men's side of the tournament while the women are at the last-16 stage. Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz are set to battle it out in the Tokyo final.

18:28 CET - In the final match of the day, Jasmine Paolini has seen off Czech Marie Bouzkova in an hour and three quarters, sealing a 6-2, 7-5 win to book a Beijing quarter-final date with Amanda Anisimova.

16:23 CET - After being crushed in the opening set, world number four Amanda Anisimova proved why she has become one of the best players in the world this season, coming from behind to clinch a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Karolina Muchova.

The American continues her brilliant year, moving into her fifth quarter-final of 2025.

13:45 CET - To the disappointment of the Beijing crowd, Daniil Medvedev has retired from his match against Learner Tien partway through the deciding set.

Tien had responded brilliantly to losing the first set by taking the second and breaking Medvedev's serve twice in the decider before the Russian was forced to retire through injury.

That secures Tien's first ATP tour final, where he will meet world number two Jannik Sinner. Good luck kid...

Check out the match summary here.

12:47 CET - World number one Carlos Alcaraz held off a late fightback from Taylor Fritz to claim the title in Tokyo with an utterly brilliant display in the final.

The Spaniard was clearly motivated by his shock Laver Cup defeat to Fritz as he played like a man possessed on his way to winning 6-4, 6-4 to add another title to his extraordinary 2025 collection.

10:56 CET - We are just minutes away from the Tokyo final, with the top two seeds, Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz, set to battle it out for the title. Interestingly, the roof has been CLOSED, as there is rain about.

Alcaraz goes in as the favourite; however, Fritz will have some confidence after his win over the Spaniard at the Laver Cup recently.

10:32 CET - It wasn't plain sailing for 2023 Beijing champion Jannik Sinner in his semi-final clash with Alex De Minaur, with the Aussie playing at an extremely high level. However, the Italian still had enough to get over the line, winning 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 to reach the final for a third-straight year.

09:57 CET - Eva Lys is continuing her fantastic week in Beijing, clinching a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 over McCartney Kessler - who looked to be a bit unwell - to book her spot in a maiden WTA 1000 quarter-final.

The German is now set to move to a career-high 45 in the world rankings and will face Coco Gauff next.

07:50 CET - Good morning and welcome back to the Tennis Tracker on a really exciting day of action in Asia!

Before we look ahead to the day's play, there has already been one result in Beijing, with defending champion Coco Gauff battling from a set and a break down against Belinda Bencic to claim a 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-2 victory, displaying her usual fighting qualities.

On court at the moment in the Chinese capital, Eva Lys and McCartney Kessler are facing off, with a real massive opportunity for both players to reach a WTA 1000 quarter-final.

A little later today, Karolina Muchova comes up against Wimbledon and US Open finalist Amanda Anisimova in a really intriguing clash, before Jasmine Paolini meets Marie Bouzkova.

In the men's semi-finals, Jannik Sinner is set to get underway very soon, as he takes on Alex De Minaur. It is fair to say that the Italian is the overwhelming favourite, leading the head-to-head 10-0.

Daniil Medvedev - who is looking for his first title since Rome in 2023 - then faces young gun Learner Tien. The American is playing in his first-ever ATP last-four contest.

The showpiece event of the day, however, comes from Tokyo. The top two seeds, Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz, will clash in the final at 11:00 CET, and you can follow that live with Flashscore!
