The action continues to roll on in Beijing and Tokyo, with eyes firmly on the world's best two players, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who begin their campaigns at the respective tournaments.

10:25 CET - Over to the WTA side of Beijing, Ella Seidel has booked her place in the next round with a surprise victory against Magdalena Frech.

09:35 CET - Fabian Marozsan is through in Beijing after a convincing 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 victory against Benjamin Bonzi.

Meanwhile, on the WTA side of the tournament, Anastasia Potapova has cruised past Czechia's Katerina Siniakova with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

09:20 CET - Second seed Taylor Fritz has avoided a first round scare against the talented Canadian Gabriel Diallo to win 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) and book his place into the second round in Tokyo.

08:10 CET - The first ATP match in Beijing has reached a conclusion and it is an early shock as Alexandre Muller stunned world number 10 and fifth seed Karen Khachanov to win 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

Over on the WTA side in Beijing, Camila Osorio also pulled off a win against a higher ranked player as she beat American Ann Li 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 7-5.

07:30 CET - Good morning and welcome back to the Tennis Tracker on another packed day of action in Beijing and Tokyo!

First of all, let's catch you up on some of the results from the last couple of hours. In the opening round of Tokyo, Sebastian Korda won an all-American affair against Marcos Giron. after coming from a set down to win 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).

Other winners this morning from Tokyo are American Jenson Brooksby, young Italian Luciano Darderi and just moments ago world number 273 Sho Shimabukuro who stunned Czech rising star Tomas Machac.

Finally over in Beijing some early morning winners include Ajla Tomljanovic and Turkey's Zeynep Sonmez.

Later today, new world number one Carlos Alcaraz begins his quest to win the Tokyo title, with a meeting against Sebastian Baez, not before 10:30 CET. Casper Ruud and Holger Rune will also be in action a bit before that.

In Beijing, last year's finalist and world number two Jannik Sinner faces another Grand Slam champion, Jannik Sinner, at around 11:00 CET.

Over on the women's side of the tournament in the Chinese capital, talented 19-year-old Maya Joint, Katerina Siniakova, Donna Vekic and Jessica Bouzas Maneiro are some of the names who will take to the court.
