The action in Beijing and Tokyo is really beginning to heat up, with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz continuing their quests for glory in Asia, while home superstar Qinwen Zheng makes her return after a lengthy injury layoff.

17:20 CET - We've had our final result of the day in Beijing, with seventh seed Jakub Mensik recovering from a second-set wobble to defeat Arthur Cazaux 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.

15:06 CET - The final match of the day in Beijing has been won by Emma Raducanu, who has secured a 6-3, 6-3 win over Cristina Bucsa.

14:42 CET - Chinese star Qinwen Zheng has marched on in her home tournament, with the world number nine beating Emiliana Arango 6-3, 6-2 in Beijing.

13:14 CET - There's been another upset in the Chinese capital, with Naomi Osaka losing 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 to world number 130 Aliaksandra Sasnovich, who played some extraordinary tennis to turn things around.

12:29 CET - The women's 14th seed is out in Beijing, with Daria Kasatkina losing 6-3, 6-0 to Great Britain's Sonny Kartal.

12:11 CET - World number one Carlos Alcaraz has moved into the quarter-finals in Tokyo without too much trouble, claiming a 6-4, 6-3 win over Zizou Bergs.

11:29 CET - It's been a battle for Beijing's top seed Jannik Sinner, who needed three sets to see off Terence Atmane with the Italian battling to a 6-4, 5-7, 6-0 win.

11:09 CET - The next player through in Beijing is Czech star Linda Noskova, who saw off the home star Wang Xiyu with comfort, winning out 6-3, 6-2.

10:47 CET - No problems for Jessica Pegula in Beijing as she storms past Ajla Tomljanovic in straight sets 6-0, 6-3.

10:20 CET - It's been a tough day for seeds in Beijing, but it has been a walk in the park for Marta Kostyuk, with the 29th seed breezing past Ella Seidel 6-1, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Tokyo third seed Holger Rune is into the last eight, thanks to a 6-4, 6-2 victory in 84 minutes over Ethan Quinn.

09:55 CET - Third seed Alex De Minaur is into the last eight in Beijing, thanks to a battling three-set over Arthur Rinderknech. The Australian progressed, winning the encounter 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(2).

Meanwhile, Clara Tauson is out. She was defeated by Turkey's Zeynep Sonmez 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.

08:06 CET - A rudimentary victory for Beijing's top seed Iga Swiatek, who has seen off home crowd favourite Yue Yuan 6-0, 6-3 to progress.

Meanwhile, Brandon Nakashima is also through in the Japanese capital, beating Hungarian Marcon Fucsovics 7-5, 6-3.

07:12 CET - American 16th seed Emma Navarro has made her way into the last 16 in Beijing after seeing off Gabriela Ruse 6-3, 7-6(0).

Meanwhile, Anastasia Potapova has upset teenage rising star Victoria Mboko in straight sets 7-6(5), 7-5.

06:44 CET - Let's head to Beijing for the first time today, where Fabian Marozsan is through to the next round after battling past Alexandre Muller in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(5).

Meanwhile, in the WTA event, fourth seed Mirra Andreeva has broken home hearts with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Lin Zhu.

There was also a 7-5, 6-4 win for Jessica Bouzas Maneiro over 29th seed Dayana Yastremska.

In Tokyo, it was a good outing for Jenson Brooksby, who progressed into the next round with a 7-6(7), 6-1 victory over Italy's Luciano Darderi.

Looking ahead, Jessica Pegula faces Ajla Tomljanovic in a potentially intriguing clash, while former Grand Slam champions Naomi Osaka and Emma Raducanu will take to the Beijing court.

Chinese superstar and Olympic gold medalist Qinwen Zheng also makes her return after an injury layoff that has seen her out of action since July, which the home crowd will be eagerly anticipating.

Meanwhile, 2023 champion Jannik Sinner will be looking to continue his charge for a second crown in Beijing very soon, when he meets Frenchman Terence Atmane.
