There was a tense exchange between the two at the net after the match - Jarry had earlier complained to the umpire about the amount of time Norrie was taking to serve.

Regardless, Norrie moves into the last eight at his home Grand Slam for the second time in his career!

7:30 CET - Hello and welcome to the famous Wimbledon Sunday at SW19. It promises to be an intriguing day of action, with many of the top seeds out of the tournament, and opportunities are starting to emerge for unseeded players who face opponents of a similar rank and level.

One such player is Sonay Kartal, Britain's last female hope at Wimbledon, as she faces someone who is just one world ranking lower than her, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

That is the first game on Centre Court and is followed by world number Aryna Sabalenka who will be hoping to build momentum after her impressive victory against an inspired Emma Raducanu in the last round.

The big-hitting and vocal Belarusian takes on Belgian Elise Mertens with a place in the quarter-finals awaiting the winner. Sabalenka will be the heavy favourite of course, but Raducanu proved the world number one is not invincible.

Another one of tennis's superstars takes to Centre Court in the evening as Roland Garros champion Carlos Alcaraz faces a tricky test in the way of Andrey Rublev

The Russian is capable of the petulant but has showcased the quality he possesses so far at Wimbledon 2025.

The only other home player left at Wimbledon is Cameron Norrie after his impressive run so far which has gone somewhat under the radar.

Norrie faces debutant and qualifier Nicolas Jarry in a match he will fancy his chances to win even if the Chilean did knock out rising star Joao Fonseca in the third round.
