Here's a snapshot of how your club manager felt about their respective results at the weekend.

Wellington Phoenix 2-2 Melbourne City

Giancarlo Italiano (Wellington Phoenix):

"I don't know what to make of that game, honestly. I'm disappointed. I feel as though if we played that game over 20 times, we'd get the result every time. There was a brain fade for only five minutes. I didn't see the first goal we conceded because I was getting the subs ready, and then the second goal (conceded) was just comical to be fair. I'm not going to sit here and blame anyone for it. The penalty was not the reason we lost - it was just that five minutes where we should have done better."

Aurelio Vidmar (Melbourne City):

"It was a bit of a crazy time. I don't think either team will be happy with the way they conceded goals. We conceded a poor goal to start with and found ourselves 2-0 down but our subs made a big impact for us today. We started to get on top and then the last 5-10 minutes was crazy, end to end stuff. We're not pleased with the way we went down 2-0 but pleased with the way we fought back into the game. We're getting the ball around the edge of the box but haven't been able to do much with it. It is what it is and we're going to keep working at it."

Adelaide United 1-1 Macarthur FC

Airton Andrioli (Adelaide United):

"I think we had a very good game in the first half and controlled the game with the way we want to play, on the front foot creating chances. Second half we started really well and then all of a sudden we started to give a few balls away, or tried difficult things at some moments, and from that scenario they created chances. We're disappointed since we wanted to win the match, but I have to also say they're not an easy team to play. They've got a very good bench like Sawyer, Ikonimidis, and Caceres."

Mile Sterjovski (Macarthur FC):

"It was a difficult match for us. Adelaide is a very good team in good form at the moment. I'm very happy with the point we got. I thought the second half was much better for us and we could have even possibly won the match with the chances we got. We know that they have a good young team that attacks a lot and I felt like we were really prepared for it. They were dangerous, don't get me wrong, but we did pretty well to handle it."

Newcastle Jets 4-1 Brisbane Roar

Mark Milligan (Newcastle Jets):

"It's more for our fans and for the ownership group and for everyone who does things behind the scenes. It's not just the players on the pitch but everyone working to unite this club and pull it in the right direction again. There are a lot of people who deserve credit for that. That's what is most exciting. We've got a team that gets better every single day and works extremely hard for each other. That is the minimum requirement that we have and now they're driving it on a daily basis. It starts again tomorrow and we won't allow anything other than that. I don't want them to ever be satisfied."

Michael Valkanis (Brisbane Roar):

"I think we didn't turn up today. We were a shadow of what we have been in the past. If you look at the last game we lost against Adelaide, I think we were fantastic. You can lose games but not like this. To me, this is unacceptable. We're going through a bad patch and we need to turn things around quickly. The makeup of the team is very different to what it was in the first 8-9 games, when it was very consistent. We've had to make changes and we haven't quite been the same since. We need to find the right dynamic and rediscover the intensity that we had."

Sydney FC 4-1 Western Sydney Wanderers

Ufuk Talay (Sydney FC):

"Conceding in the first minute of the game wasn't part of the plan, but today we needed character and the boys definitely showed that. Not just in the manner of fighting but playing some really good football and we did that in the second half. The group as a collective was good tonight. The boys worked hard for each other and that's very important in football. The team implemented the tactical side of it really well in the second half."

Gary van Egmond (Western Sydney Wanderers):

"It started off well, but some moments in the game changed things. We had some decent momentum from scoring first but we were lucky to come in 1-1 at half-time. The second half was mostly one-way traffic. We spoke about our passing but unfortunately it just didn't happen for us and we got what we deserved. There were times where we were just too far away and at times we were wanting in key areas. We could talk about they had a couple of deflections that went in but it doesn't take away from the fact that Sydney controlled the game and we didn't."

Perth Glory 2-1 Auckland FC

Adam Griffiths (Perth Glory):

"(Kucharski) is a very good talent. We're very lucky to get him. I've been chasing him since I've known him in the NPL, since he was 15. You can see the qualities that he has. The boys dug deep and put in a really good performance. The guys coming back are going to build their fitness, make the squad competitive and we'll be more dangerous than ever before. So we've got to build that fitness and be smart about it, and make sure every player knows that if they perform well at training, they'll get opportunities."

Steve Corica (Auckland FC):

"It was a pretty scrappy match. I think we controlled it in the first half, scored a really good goal and went in at half-time knowing they're going to come out. We didn't deal with the long ball and Kucharski was too quick, and the other goal (conceded) we gave the ball away during an attacking opportunity and got caught in transition. We did this against Melbourne City, where we were leading and lost 2-1, which is starting to become an unwanted habit. It hurts after Newcastle and Sydney both won, but that's football. In the end, we probably deserved to get punished. As soon as (Kucharski) got the ball on the edge of the box, I knew where it was going."

Central Coast Mariners 1-0 Melbourne Victory

Warren Moon (Central Coast Mariners):

"I'm proud of this group and this club. If there is not a really good core at a football club, you don't see what we saw tonight - the desperation, the fight, to hang onto those three points. I thought we were really good before the send-off. The red card changes things but we had to show all the characteristics of a side that is desperate and resilient and we did that. It's our job to make sure we don't make excuses. I'm just really proud of the way we saw that game out. I think it was unlucky but it was a red card. The decision was fair. I can understand why (Redmayne) is playing as well as he is at age 37 when I see the work he puts in at training every day. He's an example to the group."

Arthur Diles (Melbourne Victory):

"Very frustrated. The shot count (27 to 7) means nothing in the end. It's the quality and execution that matters. It's the goal we conceded was poor from us. That's our fault - we've given it to them. That for me overshadows the chances we missed. When you play against ten men    and they're sitting behind the ball, it's not as easy as people think. Credit to them for defending that box like their lives depended on it, and that's what got them the result. Our first ten minutes was excellent and maybe from the 15th minute onwards it's like we got too comfortable. Maybe there was a false sense of security in our head and that's not something I want us to feel when it's 0-0. You're always vulnerable in football."
