Atl. Madrid v Osasuna (18/10/2025)

Atlético Madrid host Osasuna with the hosts seemingly gathering momentum after a slow start to the season, while the visitors remain one of La Liga’s most unpredictable sides.

Match News and Current Form

Just one win from their opening six games across all competitions this season left Atlético Madrid and manager Diego Simeone scratching their heads (D3, L2), but something clearly clicked before the international break as they’ve since gone unbeaten, winning three of their last four matches. Their 13 points from eight league games still represents their worst haul at this stage of a La Liga campaign since 2011/12, but playing three of their next four La Liga matches at the Metropolitano should help, since they’ve won eight of their last nine home matches (D1), scoring exactly five in both of the last two.

Opponents Osasuna bring an air of volatility to counter their hosts' consistency, as none of their games this season produced the same result as the one prior, which is potentially a bad omen here given that they were 2-1 victors against Getafe last time out. Alessio Lisci’s men have at least proven predictable on the road this season, albeit for all the wrong reasons, seeing as they’ve lost their four road trips in La Liga while scoring just once in the process.

Head-to-Head History

Atlético have been beaten in two of the last three H2Hs (W1), with both defeats coming by multi-goal margins. Prior to those results, Simeone’s men had won 11 successive matches against Osasuna.

Hot Stats and Streaks

Pre-round, Atlético have dropped 11 points from winning positions this term, more than any other side in Europe’s top-five leagues.

Atlético have scored 3+ goals in seven of their last nine home matches.

Ten of Osasuna’s last 12 games have produced under 2.5 goals.

Osasuna are winless in their last six away games against Madrid clubs in La Liga (D2 L4).

Key Players to Watch and Missing Players

Atlético keeper Jan Oblak has an imperious record against Osasuna, keeping nine clean sheets in 13 games against them. Looking to burst that bubble will be Raúl García, who scored a brace at this ground in a historic 4-1 win for Osasuna in 2024 - nine of his last 14 goalscoring outings have seen him net the match opener.

The home side will be missing Clément Lenglet through suspension, while Robin Le Normand suffered an injury on international duty. Osasuna look set to be without Aimar Oroz.

Betting Analysis

Coupling the fact that none of the last 19 H2Hs have ended in a draw with Osasuna’s poor scoring ability on the road this season, Atlético to win without conceding looks appealing.
